Just solve problems

That’s what we do as engineers, we solve problems. We identify a problem that exists in our own life or someone else’s, we come up with a solution, and then we implement it.

And I believe that’s mostly what it takes to be successful. Identify a problem and then execute a solution. That’s how companies such as Facebook, Amazon, and Apple all were formed and how they succeeded. They identified a problem and created a solution.

So that’s what I have been doing with my day today. I had a problem where I have media across multiple hard drives that I have traveled around the world with over the past year. It was already organized through Nomatyk Media Manager, but I needed a way to sync it to another location. So I spent my day solving this problem.

Instead of spending my time to just manually drag and drop the files onto my backup hard drives, I spent my day creating a re-usable solution. And now that solution can be used in the future whenever this problem arises again. And I believe it is a problem that other people also have.

I plan to get this software out soon so it can solve your problems as well. It is a new feature that was needed for Nomatyk Media Manager. That’s the way it goes; identify a problem you may have and solve it. Because someone else probably has that problem too. Then sell it!
