The thing I hate about Apple’s iPhoto is that it puts it in their proprietary database file rather than just referencing like Lightroom does. I also think that it needs to be more apparent to the user how this works.

But the main thing is, what happens when that internet connection is too slow or unavailable, no more iCloud, thus no more photos. Definitely a big problem for people that travel a lot to areas of the world where 4G is not readily available.
