Why consistency is so important to accomplish your goals
Everything I’ve built is based on consistency. I’m not going to sit here and claim to you that I’m the best photographer, writer, or software engineer out there; I know there are people that are more talented than I am.
But the one attribute that I’ve prided myself on over the last 3 years is being very consistent. When I quit my job 3 years ago an set out on a journey to become location independent, I was pretty lost. I had no idea exactly what I wanted to do, I just knew I had to push my self outside my comfort zone and try something new.
And that’s exactly what I did, I tried many different things, but the one thing I became super consistent with was posting on Instagram. When I first started, I posted 3 times a day, every single day, for 9 months. I posted about my journey traveling around Europe, I posted about my life back in New York City, and I just shared the story of my life.
Flash forward to a year later when I started my first 90 Day content challenge. I then wrote a blog post every day for 90 days in a row. I never missed a day, but that doesn’t mean every blog post was perfect. Some days I felt super inspired to write, and some days I didn’t want to write at all.
Today is a day I’ll be honest I don’t feel like writing a lot, but I’m going to be consistent and get this post out there for you all. I know that consistency is the key to accomplishing your goals; it’s not about being the best, it’s about putting in the work and showing up each day.
Sometimes I wish my entrepreneur career would move forward faster, sometimes I feel uninspired and want to go back to a 9–5. But I know that if I wake up each day, I’m consistent, and I put in the work, I will be able to accomplish my goals. So that’s my message to you today; be consistent, put in the work, and believe in your goals; they will come.
